Are you a niche blogger who builds websites that you monetize using Google Adsense? If you are then this article has some pretty important information that you need to digest. This information could save you from losing your privilege to monetize sites using Google Adsense.
What if you woke up one day and went to check your overnight Google Adsense earnings only to realize that your account has been suspended? Would that be a nightmare? You bet it would. It has happened to a lot of people. In many cases Google has never really explained what rule those people violated to end up getting their accounts terminated. You can bet that in a lot of those cases it had something to do with the fact that those people violated Google’s Webmaster Guidelines. They were using certain link building tactics that landed them in hot water with Google.
Some people think that it isn’t possible to be punished for taking part in link schemes and link networks because then we could all just get those kinds of links for our competitors. But they are wrong. You can get penalized and you can lose your Adsense account over it. When you have ten Adsense websites and every single one of those sites gets 99 percent of its links from spun articles that are part of one of the popular article distribution services, then you are asking to get busted. Maybe you will get away with it for a while. Eventually you are bound to get busted though. You are going to get busted because you are making Google look like a fool.
A Quick Way To Kill Your Adsense Account
If your websites look like they were made for Adsense then that is reason enough for Google to terminate your account. Keep that in mind. Some people completely cover the higher heat map area above the fold on their MFA sites with Adsense ads. That tactic alone could kill your account. Maybe it will and maybe it won’t. If your site shows so much advertising above the fold that 99 percent of people immediately bounce then you are asking to have your account suspended.
The Only Acceptable Article Marketing Method For MFA sites
The only acceptable article marketing method for websites that use Google Adsense is to publish one hundred percent original high quality non-spun articles on websites that don’t allow spamming. Keep everything squeaky clean. Write articles for generating direct traffic instead of just for generating backlinks. Publish them at popular article directories. Publish some of them as guest blogs wherever you can. Keep them all higher quality. Keep all that content one hundred percent unique.
If you are going to use article distribution services, use them to build backlinks to your clean all original articles that you published on other sites for backlinks. In other words use them as second tier links. Don’t build those spun article links directly back to your Adsense money site.
More Advice For Getting a MFA Website To Rank
If you really want to make money with an Adsense monetized website then don’t build a small website that you intend to pound with a million links. Instead build a much larger website with hundreds of unique higher quality pages on it. Wait to target competitive keywords until your site has reached at least fifty pages. During the process of building out the site, get at least one dofollow backlink to each new page. Do it immediately after publishing that new page. Focus on adding new pages with good unique (not from an article spinner) as quickly as possible instead of focusing on building backlinks all the time. Just make sure you get one new link from one or more external websites pointing back at each new page.
Once your site is a few months old and has at least fifty pages of higher quality original content on it, then you will start seeing good amounts of long tail search engine traffic that can be monetized. Be gentle when you add the Adsense ad blocks to it. Don’t make it obviously look like it was MFA by adding a 300 x 250 ad block right below the title on each page in the hottest heat map area. Yes that position pays well. The problem is that you will piss off half the people who arrive at your site. Pissed off visitors eventually equals a Google ranking penalty. In my opinion you would be smarter to reposition the ads so that they aren’t the very first thing that a person sees when the page loads. If you are going to be that aggressive with your ads then maybe you should set the most aggressively positioned ads to show display ads only instead of showing text and display. You can change that setting in your Adsense control panel. The display ads will probably earn less, but they won’t annoy visitors so much.
Google Adsense is an awesome way to monetize your sites. Just don’t push your luck with Google. They don’t have to be nice to you if they don’t want to be. Do some digging around online and you will come across a whole bunch of disgruntled internet marketers who lost their Google Adsense accounts because they crossed a line somewhere. And once you lose your account, chances are you have lost it for good.
The picture below is what a typical MFA website looks like. I think it is only a matter of time before this person gets in trouble with Google for building a site like that. They might be making good money for now, but if they lose their account over sites like this, then all that income will vanish overnight.
